Tales of Tanorio is known for its various bugs and glitches. The purpose of this page is to alert the players on what they may encounter while playing the game as well as give the possibility for developers to easily see a list of what they need to fix.
Movement[]
- Using a saddle indoors or just after exiting a building causes the player to fall out of the world into the void.
- There are various places in the game that allow you to fall into void.
- Doors in certain houses.
- Pontero Pasture (not confirmed).
- Kaigan Cliffs
- Certain button combinations and/or lag can cause the player to start controlling their leading Tanorian. In this state, the player is only capable of movement.
Credits to: tuxedotoucan - Leaving the Tanostation can sometimes cause the player to be stuck in a loop of constantly leaving and entering it without the player's input.
- This most often happens in Everlush Town
- There is an invisible wall in Everlush Stadium on the far left.
- Climbing vines is very glitchy.
- Dashing with the Bjorkchop saddle on the stairs near the Alpha Lab causes the player to get stuck within them.
Battle[]
- Unable to switch to another Tanorian after fainting in battle.
- When battling against or with NPCs, their models can sometimes duplicate.
- Wild battles can occur while the player is in the middle of a cutscene/dialogue
- Switching out your second Tanorian in a double battle causes your first Tanorian to be switched instead.
- During the battle, your camera rotates. When you exit the battle, your camera rotation is at the direction it was when the battle ended, and not the direction that it was before the battle started. (Needs better wording)
Types[]
- Ghost
type is not immune to Fighting
type moves right now.
Jespirit getting hit by a Fightingtype move despite being a Ghost
type
- Bug
type is weak to Ice
moves.
Abilities[]
- Any abilities connected to Fertile Land don't seem to work.
- This is a list of abilities that don't seem to currently work:
Moves[]
Most moves don't work as intended heres a few examples:
- The move Robbery displays the user's name when saying that the opponent failed to steal an item.
- The move Abyssal Grasp doesn't require 2 turns to hit the opponent.
- The move Safeguard currently doesn't work
- The move Aerial Assault hits every type super effectively
- The move Aggravate doesnt block support moves
UI[]
- Switching Tanorians in Tanorians menu more than once doesn't save the arrangement of your Tanorians.
- Some Tanorians are not able to have more than 3 moves active despite having more moves unlocked.
- Move descriptions do not update when you switch them in the battle menu.
- You can still click on NPCs and Ruptures while on a menu.
- Buying Mounts with Robux depletes Robux, but doesn't give Mounts in return.
- When leveling up, the level up bar does not return to the start.
- When using an item, the "Use on which Tanorian" screen might get stuck, this can block other UI such as the close button on pc boxes.
NPCs[]
- Teleporting via Travelling menu while inside a building causes the NPCs in the building to duplicate.
- The nurse in Prelude Plains is outside of healing station, making it difficult to talk to her in order to heal your Tanorians.
- Starting from Pontero Pasture[1] and ending in Fable Falls[2], all Tamers have their parties mixed up with other tamers. This ends with an unknown Tamer at the end of Fable Falls, which you are not able to rebattle unlike all other Tamers in the game.
- The chef in Everlush Stadium falls over if pushed.
- Trying to heal your Tanorians without having any causes a crash.
Tanorians[]
- Some players reported that their Tanorians disappeared out of nowhere.
- Tombini doesn't seem to always appear in your party/PC after fainting a shiny Tanorian.
- Players have reported that your chain can disappear despite no shiny Tanorian spawning.
- Tanorians that follow a player can get stuck in the floor when the player travels to a location through doors/doorways. (Needs better wording)
- When Calypillar is evolving into Calytomb - Night, the evolution animation potrays it as Calytomb - Day
- When on cliffs, tanorians may not teleport to the top of the cliff, leading them to run in place at the bottom.
- Hallusion's model in Alpha Lab duplicates if you talk to Dr. Dalia after completing its quest.
- When Citrene evolves, Citress and Zestric will both appear as a question mark in the evolution animation. The models properly load everywhere else.
Story[]
- Walking out of the Everlush Stadium while its challenge is not completed causes the player to not be able to complete the quest or battle the chef.
- Some players were able to escape this bug by rejoining several times and entering Dylan's room via giant doors at the back of the stadium.
- The Makoto City portion of the game may have the Objective out of sync. (Needs better wording)
- The cave in Whispering Woods denies access for some players, even if they have defeated Makoto Stadium (If you are experiencing this glitch, you can fix it by re-entering and exiting the stadium)
