Moves are actions Tanorians use during battles. A Tanorian can only use up to 4 moves at a time during a battle, this is called a Moveset. You can select the moves to put into a Tanorians moveset by choosing them from its Movepool, which is a list of all the moves that Tanorian has learned. Tanorians can gain moves via leveling up. (Scrolls and Tutor Moves will come in a future update.)

Move Type[]

Types are applied to every move, determining what Tanorians are weak, resistant or immune to these moves.

Move Category[]

There are three categories, and each are split among the moves.

Physical[]

Physical moves are attacking moves that involve the user utilising their own appendage(s) or a weapon. Physical attacks use the user's Attack stat, and the opponent's Defence stat when calculating damage. List of all Physical Moves.

Ranged[]

Ranged moves are attacking moves the involve the user sending the attack from a further distance. Ranged attacks use the user's Ranged Attack stat, and the opponent's Ranged Defence stat when calculating damage. List of all Ranged Moves.

Support[]

Support moves are always for utility and helping the user/team, they never do any direct damage. Support moves don't use any stat. List of all Support Moves.

Special Move Category[]

These are special categories that are not normally displayed in-game, but certain Abilities interact with them. They are separate from Move Categories as they are not limited to attacking and utility.

Sound-Based[]

Sound-Based moves are moves that involve the user generate some sort of noises, be it with their own body or the environment. These moves are effected Amplifier and Soothing Voice.

Priority[]

Priority moves are moves that priority 1 or higher than most other moves. If a move has Priority other 0, the user of the move is guaranteed to go first or last (-x Priority being last and +x Priority being first). If two Priority moves clash, the one with higher Priority or if the same, the user with higher Speed goes first. Swift Feet makes the user protected against Priority moves. Mischief Maker makes the user's Support moves gain +1 Priority, but Ghost -types are immune.

Explosive[]

These moves involve the user causing some sort of explosion, usually fainting the user after. Gunpowder boosts the power of these moves. Pyromaniac will guarantee the user is left on at least 1 HP when using these moves.

Switch-Out[]

As the name suggests, these moves will switch the target out of battle after inflicting damage. Voyager boosts the power of these moves.

Base Power[]

Base Power determines the strength of the move during damage calculations. Only Physical and Ranged moves have Base Power, while Support moves always have 0. The Base Power of a move can be increased via Same-Type-Attack-Bonus, where if a Tanorian uses a move that shares a type with it, its Base Power is increased by 50% (1.5x). Certain Abilities also effect Base Power.

Power Points[]

Most of the type, this is abbreviated to "PP". PP is a set number that tells you how many times a Tanorian can use a move until it runs out of PP, making it unusable.
