Stats are one of many core mechanics in Tales of Tanorio. There are different stats, that affects the Tanorians original Stats. There are 6 Stats, which are HP, Melee Attack, Ranged Attack, Defense, Ranged Defense, and Speed. The Stats may be altered with held items and traits as well.

Stats[]

HP[]

HP is the maximum amount of hitpoints a Tanorian can take in a battle. It is used to determine the amount of hits a Tanorian can take before fainting.

Melee and Ranged Attack[]

Both Melee and Ranged Attack are the amount of damage a Tanorian can deal with attacking moves. Melee Attack is used to determine the amount of damage a Tanorian can deal with Physical Attacks, while Ranged Attack is used to determine the amount of damage a Tanorian can deal with Ranged Attacks.

Melee and Ranged Defense[]

Both Melee and Ranged Defense are the amount of damage a Tanorian can take from attacking moves. Melee Defense is used to determine the amount of damage a Tanorian can take from Physical Attacks, while Ranged Defense is used to determine the amount of damage a Tanorian can take from Ranged Attacks.

Speed[]

Speed is used to determine the order that Tanorians act in battle. If a Tanorian's speed stat is higher than its opponent, then it will move first in a battle.

The Tanorians base stats are purely based on the 6 original traits, each species of Tanorians will have different base stats that tells the user what the Tanorians specialize in.

Traits alter stats. Traits are characteristics of a Tanorian's personality, that will raise or decrease the stat of the Tanorian.

If a Tanorian has a Positive trait and a Negative trait for the same stat (For example,Erratic and Timid) it will boost the stat without any drawback

Effort Stats[]

Effort stats are stats that are earned when you knockout an opposing Tanorian, the effort stats earned is depended on the species of Tanorian knocked out. A Tanorian can have 200 Effort stats per stat and 500 Effort stats in total. Effort Stats can additionally be adjusted by the use of the item Stat Max and Stat Up. Unique Stats[]

Unique Stats are Individual stats of Tanorians. Unique Stats are generated for every Tanorian between 0-30 for all 6 stats. it affects the Tanorian's stats significantly on a fixed scale of 0-30. Unique Stats can be influenced by using a Unique Up and Unique Max.

Held items are items that can be held by Tanorians, held items can raise the stats of a Tanorian but might have drawbacks depending on the item.

Boosts 1 Unique Stat of your choice on the Tanorian used on by 10.

Maxes out 1 Unique Stat of your choice on the Tanorian used on.

Abilities[]

Abilities can carry special effects that either lower or raise a stat by a certain amount, when the requirements are met. The ability Oblivious has the unique effect of ignoring the opposing Tanorian's stat modifiers. The ability Telepathy has the unique effect of forcing the possessor's stat drops onto the target.

Moves[]

Certain moves carry a guaranteed or chance to lower or raise stats of the user or opponent. The move Coulomb Crash has the unique effect where it resets the user's stat stages. The move Broken Heart has the unique effect where it resets the target's stat stages. The move Crystal Cannon has the unique effect where it ignores the target's stat modifiers.

Stats Formula[]

To calculate what stats a Tanorian has, the game uses the same formula as in Pokemon.

The "L" signs mean that the number in them is being rounded down.

Examples[]

Let's say we want to calculate an Aggressive Dynastogun's stats that has following Base, Unique and Effort stats:

If we want to calculate its Health at level 40, we use the Health formula:

So 146 will be the output Health stat.

Now if we want to calculate its Attack, we use the Other Stat formula:

Notice that since Aggressive trait boosts the Attack stat by 10%, the Trait variable is equal to 1.1. If the trait lowers a stat, that variable will be equal to 0.9.

Grinding Spots[]

Main article: Grinding Spots

Grinding Spots are NPC trainers that you can rebattle to gain specific Effort Stats, Experience for your Tanorians, as well as Money. They are a better alternative to various other trainers that can be rebattled since they give a specific Effort Stat in specific amounts, more Experience or Money.
