The Tanaku Research Corporation is a building in Tanaku Village that new Tamers experience early on to obtain their starter Tanorians.
Story[]
Professor Wysteria greets Kira and the player, saying she's got three Tanorians that require special attention and research, and believes Kira and the player are perfect for the job. These Tanorians are endangered, so the lab is devoting special attention to their rehabilitation and understanding. Then, they walk over to the enclosure to meet these Tanorians.
Then, Professor Iroko, Kira's father, approaches them, saying he's thrilled to see their enthusiasm. He explains that they each get to choose a Tanorian from the three to research and bond with, and that if the research yields sufficient results, Iroko will pay out more than enough to financially support the player's mother. Kira lets the player pick first.
After selecting their starter Tanorian, Wysteria gives the player an Atlas to help them navigate Tanorio. Iroko suggests the player goes to see their mother, and tells them to go outside Tanaku to start their journey. He gives them 10 Tanocans and tells them they should take on the Tanorio League on their travels, as it would be an excellent opportunity for the player to strengthen the bond with their partner. Then, Iroko leaves, saying he has a meeting. Kira says she'll see the player outside.
Appearance[]
The laboratory is a tall white building with two stories and a tall round pillar in the middle. It also has blue and purple pillars throughout each stories, and banners with the Professors Irokos picture on them. Vines hang from the right side of the building all the way to the ground. The inside is much more futuristic, with glass enclosures containing starter Tanorians and their habitats. There are multiple large terrariums throughout the lab containing Tanorians. Multiple computer stations are scattered throughout the lab, with whiteboards and projectors to accompany them.
