Tortress is a Normal/Metal-type Roaming Tanorian. It does not evolve from or into any other Tanorian.

Origin[]
Its name is a portmanteau of 'tortoise' and 'fortress'. Tortress is based on the Weaken status condition.
Official Description[]
| A failed fossil restoration brought back this Tanorian along with a strand of the Virus that wiped out it's species. In the ancient past, Tortress' shell stored magma that it quickly cooled to create a metal coating over its body. The species suffered from an unknown virus that weakened its body and slowed its magma cooling, resulting in larger clusters of metal protruding through its shell, weighing Tortress down, Weak and immobile, Tortress went extinct. only remnants of the species exist today. |
